freelance art director, creative director
in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Portland
I couldn't find a third-person to say a few words about myself, therefore I'll use Philippe to tell some of his story. I grew up in the Paris West suburb only to find myself in the United States on a college baseball scholarship. Alas, my professional baseball career was not meant to be after a series of “injuries” guided me into the world of advertising. First as a suit, I soon realized that it was far more exciting to come up with the ideas. I art directed at Y&R in Miami then freelanced around the country for Hal Riney Publicis, Cliff Freeman, BBH, Modernista!... After a stop at Modernista! in Boston, I landed back in New York City and was voted 10 Best Art Director in the world by Creativity Magazine as the 42 Below Campaign was voted 3rd Best in world by Gunn Report while at Saatchi & Saatchi. I then freelanced again with BBH and Wieden + Kennedy before heading back to my adopted home, Miami. Awards include: One Show pencils, D&AD, Andy Awards Golds, Grand Clio, Art Director Club Gold Cube, AICP MoMA Permanent Collection, London Intl. Awards Grand Prize, Webby, Communication Arts, National Addys Best-of-Show, Kelly, Hatch. These days, I am currently freelancing around the globe in search of the perfect game...
