Handy is like the Uber for home services. We’ve built a website and mobile apps where customers can instantly book a cleaner or handyman. We’re growing fast and we’re expanding our product design team to solve complex problems, delight users, and drive the business forward.

About the role

We’re seeking a full-time, NYC-based product designer to join our growing product team. You’ll work with PMs, engineers, and other designers to build product experiences that delight our customers and our professionals.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to develop product ideas and bring them to life both on mobile and web.
• Be scrappy and build the right deliverables for the task at hand, from sketches to wireframes to hi-fi mocks.
• Pitch in on user research sessions with customers and with professionals.

Requirements

• 1+ years designing experiences on mobile and web.
• A portfolio of personal or professional projects, including projects over which you had total creative control.
• Excellent foundation in visual design, including typography, color, and composition.
• Ability to follow brand guidelines, but know when to change them or break them.
• Understanding of and passion for user-centered design principles.
• Driven, able to adapt and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus!

• You have experience designing products for growth (e.g., conversion optimization, A/B testing).
• You have experience designing with Sketch.
