I am a current Master of Arts student in Instructional Technology and Media Program at Teachers College, Columbia University where I anticipate to graduate in May 2016. My field of study has equipped me with knowledge and skills required for designing web-based products in alignment with UX and HCI principles. I am good at designing information architecture that organizes and structures content effectively and flowcharts that represent task flows. In addition to this, I am also knowledgeable in learning theories. In the last two years at Columbia University, I have utilized my expertise to conduct design research and collaboratively design wireframe, prototypes and mockups of several web-based products with my teams. This experience enables me to put my knowledge into practice, and it makes me familiar with iterative design process. It also deepens my understanding about how to design visually appealing web-based products with strong usability based on users’ needs. As I become increasingly interested in this field, I decide to become a product designer after graduation and keep improving my expertise.
