The Freewrite is a single-purpose, distraction-free writing device. It combines the simplicity of a 90s-era word processor with modern technology like an e-paper display, mechanical keyboard, and cloud backups.
The Freewrite was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter in 2015. It has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, and other media. It also won a Core77 Industrial Design honor.
The Freewrite was shipped to Kickstarter backers in May 2016. Going forward, Astrohaus is iterating on its core Freewrite with over-the-air updates and looking to launch new hardware products in late 2016 and beyond.
