BizSlate @bizslate

Startup, New York, NY – 11-50 employees

BizSlate is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that is revolutionizing the way small distribution businesses manage their customers, vendors, orders, logistics, and their overall supply chain. BizSlate customers are small distribution businesses up to $200M in revenue, that sell to large retail chains and department stores, specialty shops and boutiques, and direct to consumer. These businesses face considerable operational problems on a daily basis due to a lack of adequate ERPs design for small businesses. An ERP is a software application that helps a company manage everything from accounting and finance, to human resources and payroll, to order processing and logistics. A recent Aberdeen study shows evidence that even small businesses that deploy an ERP are much better off than those that do not.

BizSlate breaks the mold of old, out-dated ERPs by focusing on supply chain and operations, and blending extreme power and efficiency, with easy-of-use, affordability, and mobility.BizSlate is launching version 1 of it's award winning ERP at the top of 2015. We have a few steering committee customers that help guide and review features as they are developed. With an expected average annual revenue (ARR) of $14,000 per customer, we just commenced with pre-launch selling of BizSlate, targeting 6 to 8 additional customers by the end of 2014. Each pre-launch customer will be charged a one-time $29,000, instead of annual fees. Once in production we will close 2 new recurring revenue customers per month, and will quickly reach a 5 customer per month per salesperson.BizSlate acquires new customers through direct sales and channel relationships. Direct selling is accomplished by inhouse sales activities inclusive of online web-based demonstrations. We currently have over 3,000 leads in our pipeline comprised of prior relationships and leads accumulated by attending vertical industry trade shows such as MAGIC and the International Housewares Show. In addition to channels common to ERP providers such as VARs and integration partners (e.g. EDI), BizSlate will market via the Intuit Marketplace and large retail chains where Kalman has personal relationship.
