The goals include:
1. Tie humanitarian issues to actual domestic and foreign policies.
2. Get people thinking about news, businessmen, and politicians as they are, which is being "real" (think the Obama coffee interview).
3. Provide forums for action. Because we are all global citizens, and we can do something about anything.
4. Generate profit from:
a. luxury brand print advertising;
b. political profiles and preferences of users and readers;
c. high-end online shop of local products targeted toward readers.

And make it quite beautiful. And smart.
