NetAround is a direct response to the current predicament social media finds itself in today. Rather than providing an semi-intrusive, digital substitute for social interaction, the app acts as a facilitator of real, meaningful relationships by helping you network with other people who are in your immediate vicinity.

The app capitalizes upon the notion that strong connections are dependent on two, necessary factors: commonalities and in-person interaction. It’s our theory that the strongest predictor of shared traits or interests isn’t how you filled out a profile or scored on some arbitrary test -- rather, it’s the physical places where you spend the majority of your time. Whether it’s networking during business events and conferences, getting to know the neighbors in your new apartment building, or connecting with fellow fans at your favorite band’s next show, the people we typically want to meet are the one’s who surround us everyday.
