The Winnower is a scholarly publishing platform that provides traditional scholarly publishing tools (permanent identifier and permanent archival) to new media (blog posts, reddit AMAs, student essays, etc.) so that it counts for the scholarly record and the scholar’s career. We built the Winnower to make scholarly publishing more inclusive of different ideas, mediums, and people. Today, we have over 4,500 authors and nearly 1,000 articles from top universities, have integrated directly with Wordpress, Blogger, and Reddit and have professors around the world using The Winnower in their classrooms for student publishing.
