In the role of Director, Creative Services, I successfully function as the vital and central go-to person in the detailed, complex evolution of creative/agency operations from traditional and digital perspectives. I am essentially air traffic control, requiring the ability to look down upon and manage the entire creative process from initial kickoff to final implementation, and fundamentally operate as the “glue” binding the Creative, Strategy, Account Service and Production/ Implementation departments to produce notable and successful results. I have a passion for advertising and branding which has professionally defined me throughout my communication and media-related tenure. As Director, Creative Services for several years, I have favorably utilized my hands-on creative experience and married it with my over-arching understanding of agency SOP and process, coupled with my defined organizational skills. As I manage branding creative departments and staffs, I am able to shepherd detailed creative process and procedure development, brand innovation and implementation while utilizing my advanced people/teamwork-building/mentoring skills to produce positive outcomes. Also, as Director, Creative Services, my knowledge in art producing, internal and external resource management, large-scale budget planning/negotiating, short- and long-term planning, financials and estimating, personnel recruitment and developing future growth plans have proven to be important facets to help lead to the success of each agency. In addition, I have been responsible for photography production, art direction and retouching management, and working closely with clients on a daily basis. I have managed branding creative teams in a variety of creative capacities as Director, Creative Services and Creative Director/Art Director and have developed work for such blue-chip CPG brands as Revlon, Anheuser-Busch, AT&T, Target and Marshall Field's, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Bank of America, Clorox and Barnes & Noble and such pharma companies as Novartis, Pfizer and Merck/Schering-Plough from branding, print and broadcast perspectives (traditional and digital), as well as successfully overseeing private label programs for Target and BestYet’s 1800+ SKU line of grocery products. In addition, I strive to achieve balance and organization in everything I pursue. Along with my work-work, my volunteer work in the not-for-profit sector is also very important to me. I currently chair the Human Rights Campaign’s Greater New York steering committee and am on its National Board of Governors, am heading up a re-branding effort for the Village of South Orange, NJ and just finished a stint as a reading tutor for East Orange, NJ third graders.
